A Welsh Composer: The Ballad of Dylan Thomas

He taught me to sing quietly in my head, yet I gained the courage to
project words and watch them come to life.
He taught me to look at everything closely
and then look again.

I saw beauty in everything and I wrote from experience,
pushing through the dilemmas of the human condition,
holding onto the nostalgia of childhood and
translating it all into a symphony.

My visits to the boathouse; sipping tea and looking
out over the water whilst the hills whispered his name.
And now I am here, in a city that does not known my name yet it knows yours too well.

I invoke you,
I invoke you.
